Practical Myofascial Release Fascial Breath is a 2 day accredited CPD course which offers an in-depth opportunity to focus on the anatomy, biomechanics, biochemistry and psychophysiology of breath and breathing, providing practical treatment techniques and self-help from a myofascial perspective.

Breath is fundamental to life itself but sometimes our ability to breath freely can be affected by physical and psychological factors including illness, chronic conditions and stress. This 2 day accredited CPD course is an in-depth opportunity to focus on the helping our clients to breath better through a combination of treatment and self-help.
In this course we will:

  • Explore the anatomy, biomechanics, biochemistry and psychophysiology of breath and breathing
  • Learn how to treat common conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, COPD, long Covid and anxiety related breath disorders.
  • Practise simple self-help exercises to share with clients.

This course will give you invaluable techniques to help make a real difference to clients who come to you with often complex chronic pain conditions.
This course is open only to therapists who have some prior myofascial training. If you haven’t trained us before please contact us before you book.
If you are new to myofascial release we recommend you start your myofascial journey with our one day Introduction to Practical Myofascial Release, which is an accredited CPD course.

How is it taught?
The course consists of 2 days of practical training and a theory module. Access to the theory module is made available 1 month before the course start date. Students are advised to complete this before attending the practical training.

Where is it taught and by whom?
In 2024 we are running this course in Leeds.
This course is jointly taught by Amanda Oswald, lead therapist and owner of the Pain Care Clinic and Maya Makri, voice practitioner with a focus on professional voice use, language & communication.
Our course sizes are all limited to small groups to ensure that all students have the benefit of individual attention.
This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). All students will receive a CPD certificate on completion of the course.
