Practical Myofascial Release Fascial Rebounding is 1 day accredited CPD course which covers rebounding assessment and treatment techniques including myofascial unwinding.

More information

Rebounding has different meanings to different people. For many its aerobic exercise performed on a trampoline. However in the context of myofascial release rebounding is both an assessment and a powerful treatment technique for ‘stuck’ bodies. It can be used to help break down trapped energy patterns and increase body fluidity helping the body to repair and recover.

Commonly associated with rebounding is the concept of unwinding. There is much scientific debate around what unwinding actually is but general consensus is that it is an ANS change which brings about physical movement and/or emotional release. Myofascial release treatment can commonly trigger an unwinding response.

In this 1 day course we explore

  • Rebounding assessment and release techniques for the whole body
  • Unwinding response in clients and in ourselves
  • How to ‘manage’ unwinding both during treatment and afterwards – what is a ‘healing crisis’
  • Teaching clients self-help techniques for rebounding and unwinding
  • A brief exploration of current scientific thinking including the importance of psychoneuroimmunological responses in chronic pain conditions.
