Myofascial Release for Prostatitis

Over the past year at the Pain Care Clinic we have noticed a marked increase in men of all ages enquiring about myofascial release as a treatment for prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Enquiries have been from men in their 20s to their 80s, and there seems to have been three main factors influencing clients’ decisions to contact us:

1. Increasing awareness of prostate health in general
2. Stressful lives that seem related to prostate problems
3. Credible scientific evidence that myofascial release and trigger point therapy are effective treatments for chronic non-bacterial prostatitis and pelvic pain syndrome.

Prostatitis and pelvic pain syndrome are painful and distressing conditions. Clinical trials have proved that myofascial release and trigger point therapy can provide quick and sustained help so we have launched a guide Is Myofascial Release an Effective Treatment for Prostatitis?.
